VScad3 Resources Menu

2.2.1 Layout continued.

"Resources / Layout..." continued :

  • "Edit View" : If more than one view was specified via the "Views" setting, the "Edit View" setting controls which view's positions are shown (for editing).

  • "Reset Positions" : This will reset (re-calculate) all the view positions using a default layout based upon the number of views, and the page, border, and margin sizes. This is similar to what happens when the "Views" setting is used to select the number of views.

  • "Color" : This will control the color of the selected view. A view can be selected using the "Edit View" list.

  • "X Position" : The "Min" and "Max" fields control the X position of the view on the page. These fields are set to default values whenever the number of views is chosen, or when the "Reset Positions" button is clicked. The default values can be overridden by typing in new values.

  • "Y Position" : The "Min" and "Max" fields control the Y position of the view on the page. These fields are set to default values whenever the number of views is chosen, or when the "Reset Positions" button is clicked. The default values can be overridden by typing in new values.

When the "Apply" button is clicked, the page is arranged and drawn as specified. If a drawing background (border, title block, etc.) is loaded via the main "File / Load => Drawing..." menu, then it may be visible in areas that are not covered by views.
