2.5.3 Transform mode.
This mode is used for translating, scaling, and rotating selected entities.
"Translate | Scale | Rotate" : This setting determines the type of transform to be applied to the selected entities.
"Vector..." : This will bring up the transformation dialog for typing in the transformation parameters.
In "Translate" mode, click and drag a mouse button in a view to translate the entities in the XY plane.
In "Scale" mode, click and drag the right mouse button upwards (towards the top of the screen) to scale the entities larger. Drag downward to scale the entities smaller. Using the left mouse button will scale equally in the X and Y directions. Click and drag the right mouse button to stretch the entities by different amounts in X and Y. Dragging to the right will expand the X dimension while dragging to the left will contract the X dimension. Dragging up will expand the Y dimension while dragging down will contract the Y dimension. The first point clicked is always the scale center point.
In "Rotate" mode, click and drag the left mouse button left-right & up-down to rotate the entities in 3D about the X and Y axes. Click and drag the right mouse button to pivot about the Z axis. The first point clicked is always the rotation center point.
In "Translate" mode, enter the X,Y,Z "Translate Vector" (distance).
In "Scale" mode, enter the X,Y,Z "Scale Factor" and the center X,Y,Z "Scale Point".
In "Rotate" mode, enter the X,Y,Z "Rotation Axis" vector, the center X,Y,Z "Rotation Point", and the "Rotation Angle" (in degrees counter-clockwise).
"Reset" : This will reset the transformation applied to selected entities. When their transform is reset, the entities will appear with the original location, size, and orientation they had when first created.
