Virtual Sculptor is an innovative CAD/CAM application designed for optimal performance in relief surface sculpting and 3-axis machining. Traditional CAD/CAM systems tend to bog down on the large amount of data required to represent a detailed sculpted surface. Virtual Sculptor uses an efficient internal data representation, allowing it to manipulate complex relief surfaces with ease. This has many benefits, including the ability to visualize the cutting results of proposed tool paths before any material is actually cut. The software consists of two basic interconnected parts. The main module is for virtual relief sculpting and 3-axis machining (VS3D). The auxiliary CAD module (VScad3) is a traditional CAD program which represents 3D shapes using polyline and polygon (vector) geometry.

Use powerful hammering tools and region-of-interest tools to turn digital images and scanned drawings into relief sculptures.

Transform 3D polygonal shells into relief sculpture, and vice versa.

Choose a cutting tool and tool path parameters. Output standard “G” code and view the simulated cutting results !

Create elaborate sculpted designs. Render them with a variety of settings. Machine dies, hubs, molds, and engravings - even on existing non-planar surfaces.
